We eat food to live . Food is our basic need . Food keeps our Body , Muscle and brain strong . Food also protects us from Dieses and makes us healthy . The main source of food is Plant and Animals .
Sources Of Food :-
Food from Plants :- We get a lot of variety of food from plants like Vegetables , fruits , Grains . We also eat roots , Stems , leaves and flowers of some plants .
Food From Animals :- We get milk, meat , egg , honey etc from animals like Cow, goat, hen .
Types Of Food
Energy Giving Food :- We need energy for our daily activity and various kind of work. Food like Rice, Chapati , oil , Sugar ,Potato are some example of energy giving food. Energy giving food also keeps our body warm .
Body Building Food :- The foods which helps for the growth of our body are called body building food. It also helps to make our bone strong . Some examples of body building food are Milk , Pulses, Egg , Paneer , Meat , Fish etc.
Protective Food :- Protective food boost our immunity. They helps to fight against the diseases . All vegetables , fruits are example of protective food .
Diet Plan
The food we eat daily are called diet . A balanced diet is that food which is a combination of all type of food in correct proportion .
More than 60 % of the body of a adult man is water . We should drink clean water .
A. Water helps in digestion.
B. Water helps to clean internal waste through urine, sweat .
Food taken at a particular time is called meal. As per the time the types of meal are
1. Breakfast :- morning food (7 am - 9 am)
2. Lunch :- At the Noon (12 pm-2 pm)
3. Snacks :- At the afternoon (5 pm -7 pm)
4. Dinner :- At night ( 8 pm - 10 pm)
Healthy eating habits :-
1. Wash hands and mouth properly .
2. Always eat balanced food .
3. Eat meal at fixed interval of time .
4. Do not skip breakfast .
5. Do not eat stale food , Eat fresh food .
6. Always clean the fruits and vegetables before eating .
7. Do not eat much food
8. Food is very precious , never waste it .
